The Snook Art Company was opened in Billings in 1913 by Earl and Elianor Snook. Earl Snook had been a good friend of Chief Plenty Coups of the Crow Nation, as well as artist Will James. The Snook Art Company was in business in Billings for over 100 years.
The historic Snook Art Company building, frequented in its early days by literary genius' such as Ernest Hemingway and cowboy artist and author Will James, is now home to the newly renovated Snook Art Gallery, located at 2420 2nd Avenue North in downtown Billings Montana.
