Accompanying this painting is a handwritten letter by Morgan to ‘My dear Mrs. Wickett’ with the details on when she plans to make the trip to paint the Wickett home.
This home was built in 1923 for Frederick A. Wickett, Vice–President of New York Life Insurance, and City Councilman. It was the Wickett family home until Mr. Wickett's death in 1970. The architect was Albert Farr and the Minton Company was the builder. It remains as a Category 3 on the Historic Buildings Inventory.
