This significant painting was first exhibited in 1931 at the Paul Elder Gallery (SF) in a solo show of Morgan's artwork. In October it was exhibited at the Haggin Museum (Stockton); and three exhibitions at the Carmel Art Association between 1937-1938. Afterwards, Morgan enjoyed living with "Late Afternoon," a favorite canvas of hers, and one for which she had received such special mention.
